Spill It! – June 2011

Posted by Wilson PR on Jun 13, 2011 in Blog, Spill It! | 0 comments

Winter and spring have taunted us with only a few sunny days and we’re feeling entitled to some conspicuous consumption of the cocktail kind, whether inside or out. We’ll happily don some sunglasses, slip on a springy shift, and show a little skin—even if we have to spray on tans over our sun-deprived legs! Bring on the patios, the happy hour, and fair-weather drinks and we’re there.

Jerzy's Wine Bar

New owner brings global wine list to Eastside

Jerzy’s Wine Bar & Bistro is settled in a charming red 1940s house and recently re-opened under new ownership with revamped décor and a fresh menu. The cozy and inviting restaurant is situated in the heart of downtown Redmond, bringing locals an exceptional European-American dining experience with a standout global wine selection. Lauritol Merlot, straight from the vineyards in Bordeaux, is a softer, fruity vino that pairs exceptionally with red meat, pasta or pork. If you tend to stick to whites, be sure to get a glass of Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc with dinner. The crisp, refreshing taste of this medium-bodied nectar is perfect for a warm summer night on the outdoor patio. Take time to appreciate the local happenings and escape monotony in Jerzy’s quaint, garden-esque outdoor patio.

MM Red #12 – A five-grape blend, with a substantial helping of Malbec with its sturdy structure and subtle herb and mineral complexity lurking behind ripe, wide-open dark berries and black plum fruit.
Savoureux Pinot Noir ’09 – From the Willamette Valley, layered with an almost European sensibility with notes of black cherry, raspberry, earth, smoke and spice into a coherent and elegant package.
