One of my earlier memories is the cherry tree in a vacant lot next to our home in Tacoma. I was too little to reach the branches. As I grew, the tree grew, too, and the cherries always seemed out of reach. Now it’s a simple matter of stopping at an outdoor market for cherries that just keep getting larger and sweeter with each passing year. And they’re good for you, too!
