Extended Happy Hour
If the tempting menu wasn’t enough, now there is another reason to head to Palomino in downtown Seattle: a longer happy hour! Palomino’s Seattle location is now offering its happy hour from 3 p.m. – close, which means extra time to linger at the bar, sip $4 cocktails, and sample delicious bites such as brick oven-roasted clams, potatoes gorgonzola, pistachio crusted double crème brie, and $5 pizzas. The happy hour drink specials include wine, beer, and cocktails such as the cranberry mojito. The Seattle location is also getting ready to unveil a new, updated dining menu; stay tuned!

Decadent Desserts
This Valentine’s Day, Anthony’s has lovingly prepared a selection of sinful desserts to round out your dinner. The theme of the selections? Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! Dip your spoon into the melting chocolate cake with chocolate heart and raspberry sauce or savor the “Hearthfire,” a mouthwatering, gooey chocolate cake with chocolate heart and chocolate chip cherry ice cream. Feel the choco-licious love! The best part: these desserts are available Feb.10 – Feb. 28 so you have plenty of time to try them all!

Luxe Dining
Treat your valentine to a classic meal with a traditional steak and seafood dinner at Morton’s The Steakhouse. Indulge in three courses for two ($109) with a choice of Caesar or Morton’s salad; a steak course of single cut filet (substitute enhanced cuts for a fee); a seafood course of Broiled Sea Scallops, Colossal Shrimp Alexander, or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (Chicken Christopher is an alternate entree); and for dessert, a choice of Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, Key Lime Pie or Creme Brulee. For $39, pair dinner with 2007 Estancia Pinot Noir, Monterey, or 2008 Franciscan Sauvignon Blanc, Napa.

Chocolate Rendezvous
Chocolate and Valentine’s Day go hand-in-hand, but how do you choose which chocolate to buy for your sweetheart? Metropolitan Market (Uptown) is hosting three chocolate tasting events for an informed (and well-sampled!) decision, including Fran’s, Dilettante, Theo and Cadeaux Chocolates. As if all the exclusive chocolate weren’t tempting enough, samples of gelato, cookies, fudge, and sparkling beverages will be available for tasting as well. This year, Terra Vista’s romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for two will be offered for three nights: Feb. 12, Feb.13, and Feb. 14. Now there is no excuse to miss out on this delicious menu! Carnevale Showstopper

Evening of Hope
On Saturday, Feb. 6, put on your most elegant pajamas and smoking jackets or elegant black tie attire for the Seattle Hotel Association’s 13th Annual “Evening of Hope.” This year, the event will benefit the Pike Place Market Foundation and the Market’s human services.
