SET YOUR SIGHTS ON SKY VIEW OBSERVATORY’S NEW CAFÉ FEATURING WASHINGTON WINES AND BEERS

Destination offers delectable bites and beverages that pair perfectly with panoramic views

SEATTLE—December 10, 2014— Sky View Observatory, located on floor 73 of the tallest public viewing area west of the Mississippi, is pleased to announce the debut of its new Sky View Café, featuring gourmet sandwiches, salads, artisan bites, desserts, and select Washington beers and wines. The menu was developed by Ravishing Radish Catering, a local company who included several other Seattle- and Washington-based purveyors among its menu offerings. Menu highlights include:

  • All sandwich baguettes and a rotating list of pastries and tarts from Le Fournil
  • Washington beers and cider ($5), wines and sparkling wines ($6); coffee from Seattle’s Middle Fork Roasters ($3)

  • The “Ballard Bahn Mi” sandwich featuring thinly-sliced pork tenderloin, pickled cucumber, jalapenos and greens ($7)

  • The “Harbor Steps” sandwich including ham & swiss, stone-ground mustard, aioli, and greens ($7)

  • House-made tzatziki with crudités ($4)

Ravishing Radish Catering is not new to Sky View Observatory, as the company has been the exclusive caterer of private cocktail parties, weddings and corporate events at the Seattle landmark since June 2014.

“We’ve seen Ravishing Radish provide a seamless experience to our full-service catering clients over the last several months, and are delighted to now offer this gourmet food and drink experience to our traditional guests as well,” said Lynda Collie, general manager of Columbia Center.

The café comes just in time for rival football games and to close out 2014. Guests can skip the tailgate and enjoy a beer at Sky View Observatory, which affords 12th Men and Women a “Hawk’s eye view” of the stadium. The destination will also be open for New Year’s Eve and offers sparkling wine, perfect for toasting the occasion.
