We are all creatures of habit and over the last couple of years most of us have stayed close to home; it felt safe. We drive to work the same way, the same streets, shop at the same grocery stores, eat at the same restaurants and order the same item on the menu. What if, over the next two weeks you decided to take a different path? With Seattle Restaurant Week already underway it might be fun to go someplace you always thought about or drove past but “didn’t want to risk it.”
Like me, you might even run into old friends or make new ones while you’re waiting in the bar. With over 100 choices, you can be sure that you’re bound to have a few options. Many of these restaurants featured are already offering amazing happy hour deals such as Sullivan’s Steakhouse or Il Fornaio and home town favorite Anthony’s Homeport. If you go to Sully’s on Thursdays after 3 p.m., you can get a $5 Martini (my favorite is the Knockout, where two is the limit); where else are you going to get a three-course steak dinner and a cocktail for $30?
So, break out of your rut, get out of the house, try something different and make some new friends. Let me know which restaurants your going to and I’ll meet you there! View all participants at www.seattletimes.nwsource.com/seattlerestaurantweek.com -tw
