Winter and spring have taunted us with only a few sunny days and we’re feeling entitled to some conspicuous consumption of the cocktail kind, whether inside or out. We’ll happily don some sunglasses, slip on a springy shift, and show a little skin—even if we have to spray on tans over our sun-deprived legs! Bring on the patios, the happy hour, and fair-weather drinks and we’re there.

Cheers to 40 years with wine tasting festivities
Join Metropolitan Market for complimentary wine tastings at several locations featuring their new releases – MM Rose #4, White #5 and MM Red #12 and their exclusive Savoureux Pinot Noir ’09 along with other unique Washington Wines and fine imported wines. A sneak peek:
MM Rose #4 – Zestily rendered with heady aromas and crisp mix of red berries, citrus fruit, and fresh cut flowers and herbs; excellent with salmon, grilled meats or poultry and side salads.
MM White #5 – Fashioned for summer delights with waves of mixed citrus, melon, and pear tamed by notes of flowers, lime leaf, mineral and lively, focusing acidity.
MM Red #12 – A five-grape blend, with a substantial helping of Malbec with its sturdy structure and subtle herb and mineral complexity lurking behind ripe, wide-open dark berries and black plum fruit.
Savoureux Pinot Noir ’09 – From the Willamette Valley, layered with an almost European sensibility with notes of black cherry, raspberry, earth, smoke and spice into a coherent and elegant package.
